Professor of public finance. Born in 1894, M. Slade Kendrick received a Ph.D from Cornell in 1942 and joined the Cornell University faculty in 1924, becoming a full professor in 1940; in the mid-1930s he was also head tax consultant and chief of the Ways and Means Section of the Agricultural Adjustment Administration.
